What is needed now? Networking, exchange, and solidarity! Shortly after the election in Saxony-Anhalt, we, as associations from the fields of education and culture, are hosting an online discussion.

We are opening up an initial space for mutual encouragement and for us to share our experiences. A space to pause together and prepare for the road ahead. This is not about developing finished strategies, founding a new alliance, or adopting formal positions.

The event is primarily aimed at those working in education and culture, but is also open to anyone else in civil society who is interested – both in Saxony-Anhalt and across the country. Everyone is welcome.

We will kick off the event with two short presentations from Pia Lamberty and Max Schneller (@Maximal.Demokratisch), followed by time for us to discuss the current situation and the issues that matter to us.

Wednesday, September 9, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Online via Zoom

Participation is free of charge.

We would be very pleased if you shared this invitation with your own networks.

A joint invitation from the Federal Association of Socioculture, the German Library Association, the German Cultural Council, the German Museums Association, the German Adult Education Association, and the State Association of Adult Education Centers in Saxony-Anhalt.

About the speakers:

Max Schneller (@Maximal.Demokratisch) is 17 years old and one of the youngest and most influential political activists from East Germany. He went viral in April 2025 after speaking at a "Querdenken" protest in his hometown of Bad Dürrenberg, where he challenged the demonstrators with a perspective they didn't want to hear. He has been a public figure ever since.

Pia Lamberty is a psychologist with a PhD specializing in social psychology. Her work focuses on how societal crises, disinformation, and conspiracy narratives influence the way people think, feel, and act. She is a co-founder of the Center for Monitoring, Analysis and Strategy (CeMAS), the author of several non-fiction books on psychological and social issues, and provides digital workshops, training, and expert consulting for organizations and teams in addition to her psychological counseling services.
